Section 1004. Admissibility of other evidence. Article 1102 Effects on laws and rules of evidence. Rules of evidence are a set of rules of evidence that authorize the collection, presentation and application of evidence on a case-by-case basis. The Idaho Rules of Evidence govern proceedings in the Idaho courts. These rules govern all actions and proceedings before the courts of that State to which the rules of evidence apply. Idaho trial courts will apply the Idaho rules of evidence unless they find that such application would infringe a party`s substantive rights. Privilege rules apply at all stages of all actions, cases, and proceedings. Mr. Clark teaches judges and lawyers the law of evidence and civil procedure. He was chairman and reporter of the Idaho Evidence Rules Committee, which drafted Idaho`s rules of evidence.

He also served as chairman and rapporteur of the Idaho Uniform Mediation Act Committee, which led to the amendment of Rule 507 of the Idaho Evidence Rule by the Idaho Supreme Court and the passage of the Uniform Mediation Act by the Idaho legislature in 2008.
