Basic Legal Ethics Syllabus

The purpose of this course is to introduce and teach students aspects of the rules of professional liability that govern members of the legal community and to analyze biblical mandates that go beyond the rules of professional liability. This course examines the ethical standards that govern the conduct of persons engaged in the practice of the law and persons in general in the legal sector. This course covers both professional conduct and the application of Christian principles in the legal profession. For more information on the requirements of this course, please refer to the Academic Course Catalogue. The student will write a 3,000-3,500 word research paper in the current APA format. The article must contain at least 10 references in addition to the textbooks and the Bible. The topic is provided by the speaker. Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, you must create a thread in response to the command prompt provided.

Each thread should be 400 to 500 words long and demonstrate knowledge related to the course. In addition to the thread, you need to respond to threads from at least 2 classmates. Each answer should be 200 to 300 words. Each thread and response must contain at least 1 quote and a Bible integration. Add course materials and presentations. The current APA format must be used. After reading the course syllabus and student expectations, the participant completes the appropriate checklist in the course overview. Each quiz will be Open-Book/Open-Notes, contain 4 essay questions and have a time limit of 2 hours. The answer to each test question should be 200 to 300 words. To support each answer, at least 2 references must be used. You can use the course reading material and the Bible as references.

Quiz essays are designed to apply course material to the question. Course material should be referenced and cited throughout the response. The answer should be in your own words, rather than quoting large amounts of material.
