I don`t shoot IDPA, so I don`t know all the rules, but assuming Shadow 2 is legal for the division you`re shooting in, I don`t think there`s a better weapon with a cost-to-dollar ratio for the competition. I had a Springer Small Magwell (advertised as legal ESP) on it and used the short Springer baseplates (0.25). It fit in the box, but for now, the back visor needed to be compressed. Looks like the factory magwell is smaller than my old one, so it should work. But mags have to be shorter to be legal. CZ Custom has made it a masterpiece with its Shadow series. I`m not going to lie, they`re! You`ll see a good chunk of CZ in a game, but most of them are SP01 with the full-length dust cover and DA/SA trigger. SP01 is legal in ESP and SSP, but according to IDPA rules, you must trigger your first double action. Here I really think the Shadow SA has a big advantage over the SP01 in the ESP division.
